How is patient booking data protected?
The platform runs on Google Cloud in Frankfurt am Main (EU region europe-west3), and a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is concluded as part of the usage contract — your practice stays the controller, Zimun acts as your processor. Contact data of an appointment is deleted automatically as a rule one month after the appointment, and the platform has no dedicated fields for health data.
Do patients need an account or an app?
No. Patients book from a link in the browser, get a confirmation email with a calendar file, and manage the appointment — reschedule or cancel — through a link in that email. No account, no app, no password.
Does Zimun handle billing or health-insurance claims?
No. Zimun schedules. The treatment contract and its payment stay entirely between you and the patient, which makes the platform a straightforward fit for self-pay services: the patient books the time online, and payment happens in your practice as it does today.
Can I see my appointments in my own calendar app?
Yes. Every tier includes read-only calendar feeds — a personal feed per practitioner and one for the whole practice — that subscribe into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, or any app that reads iCal. On paid tiers, practitioners can additionally connect their Google or Microsoft account for two-way sync, so busy times from their own calendar also block the booking page.
Can a patient book a whole treatment series?
Yes, on paid tiers. Enable recurring booking on the service and a twelve-week plan books as one weekly series — monthly cadences work too. The series runs on automatically, and the patient can pause or cancel it from the confirmation link.
